Restorative Practices involves the building of positive relationships and establishing a supportive environment that is fair, consistent and democratic.
The underlying principle is that relationships are important, and when a harmful or disruptive incident occurs, the focus is on the harm caused to the relationship and the subsequent repairing of that harm; rather than; what rule has been broken and therefore what consequences will be imposed.
Restorative Practices in schools is moving at a frenetic pace. This two day workshop will look closely at  this philosophy and offer participants the opportunity to explore its concepts and translate it into practice.  This will suit teachers and administrators and give them the basis to implement restorative practices in their schools.

This interactive professional learning opportunity will be cover the restorative practices continuum and has the following aims:
− To become familiar with the philosophy of Restorative Justice.
− To gain practical understanding and knowledge in relation to rethinking behaviour management.
− To promote whole school approaches to behaviour management.
