About the PresenterMark Le Messurier is an experienced teacher, author and counsellor who has a special interest & expertise in working with children and adolescents who present behavioural challenges to teachers, parents & carers. Mark refers to them as ‘Tough Kids’; kids whose lives are much tougher than most & in the process make life challenging for those who care for & educate them. Mark has written a number of books & other materials, including Cognitive Behavioural Training; a How-to Guide for Successful Behaviour (2005), Parenting Tough Kids (2007), Teaching Tough Kids (2010) & recently, What’s the Buzz? A social skills enrichment programme for primary students (2011). Mark is an exceptional presenter with the ability to connect with educators & parents, to challenge them & provide many practical strategies that work. Mark argues that by recognising the ‘Tough Kids’ & finding ways to work more successfully with them, homes & schools become better places for everyone. |
