This workshop is a hands/hearts/minds-on opportunity for you to learn simple, practical ways to engage children in a variety of fun, simple and creative mindful skills. These skills have been successfully trialed with thousands of students and teachers. About the PresenterJanet Etty-Leal is a teacher who has implemented programs teaching the skills of mindfulness in areas as diverse as education, health, the corporate sector, sport and community wellbeing. She has trained with leading Mindfulness teachers, including Jon Kabat Zinn and Dr Ian Gawler and in Positive Education with Professor Martin Seligman. Her primary focus and passion is to train and implement mindfulness teaching programs within schools. She has designed programs for students (3-18 years of age) and teachers; working with over 50 schools and educational organisations. These programs are interactive, fun; produce immediate results and long term benefits. Simple ways to practice self-care, de-stress, and master the mind are explored. In 2010 she published 'Meditation Capsules: A Mindfulness Program for Children'. |
