Student Support Groups:

  • What do I need to know before I run a SSG?
  • Preparation
  • Process
  • Gaining commitment from all parties
  • Follow-ups

About the Presenter

Geoff Blair has been a teacher for over 30 years. He was a student manager for much of his career and developed his skills in working ‘with’ students as an administrator and teacher. He has presented around Australia and overseas. He has worked with ‘Tricky KIds’ and assisted them to ‘hop on board’ and create a future that sees them working effectively with other students. He has worked with whole classes to create positive and industrious classrooms. This has been done at the start of the year, at the beginning of a semester and at the start of a new topic.
Geoff is a trained mediator (Dept Justice) and has facilitated processes that have stopped bullying and repaired relationships between students.
