Learning together in the digital age – A Conference for Boys, Teachers and Parents

The impact of technology on learning and society has never been more profound -families, schools and industry face exciting and challenging opportunities.

The National Boys and Technology Conference will bring together students, educators, parents and industry in exploring how technologies will shape learning in the future. The conference will provide participants with opportunities to share perspectives and help determine the direction of technology in education and society.

The Crowther Centre is partnering with Critical Agendas, the International Boys’ Schools Coalition, Swinburne University and Brighton Grammar School to deliver its national ‘Boys and Technology’ conference.

The structure of the conference is unique in that students and teachers will participate together – learning from each other and jointly exploring some of the key issues in the use of technology in schools. Student / teacher teams will return to their schools able to engage their own learning communities in shaping the future.

Parents and teachers will be able to network at an evening presentation by Michael Carr-Gregg and discuss some of the socially profound impacts that technology is having on youth.

Overall, with a mix of keynote speeches, panel presentations and small workshops, there is plenty to challenge and inspire members of every school community.
