With the recent changes to VIT standards and that teachers must address students with special needs, this workshop will cover Australian Professional Teacher Standards 1.5, 1.6 and 4.1. These include designing activities that support the learning and participation of students with a disability and that incorporate ‘universal design’ learning principles that plan for students of differing abilities. It is vital that these activities are inclusive and support all learners.
This practical full day workshop is designed to support both primary and secondary students. These ‘apptivities’ are designed for different scenarios as well as using Internet based software. This workshop will leave you with a toolkit of apps and tools that you can apply to specific students needs in your classroom. We will also look at accessibility tools for both iOS, Android and options on the Internet.
