Achieving excellence in Debating and Persuasive Speaking

Want to ensure your debating teams are as successful as possible? Then this seminar is for you. Ron has twice coached teams to the Final of the Debating Association of Victoria’s grand final.  This seminar you will have the ability to teach the essentials of debating and make them stick. You will be able to analyse topics in a helpful and strategically beneficial way You will be given a template to organise your debate for teamwork and cohesion. Your team line will be made effective and unambiguous and the team case will flow directly from it. The roles of each speaker and how they interact will be taught as well as how to select the best team. A speech outline for each speaker ensuring top method points is provided. Matter, method and particularly manner advanced strategies are covered. Fantastic matter resources and a swag of strategies to teach manner skills are developed.

You will also learn what is persuasive and how to be persuasive – how to spot logical flaws and exploit them and the language required to do this.

What adjudicators look for and how to adjudicate will also be covered.

Essential to winning debates is the ability to make a great speech and you will be provided with great tips for effective rebuttal, speech writing and advanced tactics.

A strategy for dealing with secret topics will also be provided.

You will take away a manual that covers in depth the entire debate preparation process made easy.
