Classroom journeys into the technologies of the future

Join us for a day of hands on classroom activities that lift the hood on some amazing technologies we use every day like Artificial Intelligence and computer generated images. You will learn about the history of Artificial Intelligence, its early applications and then enjoy a hands on experience of AI systems that read emotion in text, recognise images and even generate stories. You will also learn about how an obscure field of mathematics called fractal geometry sparked a revolution in artificial images that gave us realistic 3D games and Pixar movies. The workshop is fast paced and packs a lot into one day, however you will be supported with comprehensive class room tested resources for each of the topics.

Session 1: A Hands on Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

Session 2: Using AI + Python to Recognise human emotions and create empathetic chatbots

Session 3: Fractals in nature and computer games with Python Turtle
