How to effectively engage secondary students in your Maths classroom September 2022
Students learn best when they are motivated to learn by seeing the value and importance of the information presented. This presentation will exhibit our STAR Methodology, which Adam Kruger and Scott Rumble have co- developed and implemented at a number of schools. Throughout the session they will demonstrate how we motivate students to learning, create an interactive atmosphere to allow for student voice, build connections through directed assessments, provide opportunities to apply knowledge to real world situations, challenge and engage students through effective feedback strategies and work through using data as a tool to improve key numeracy skills of our students. In this workshop you will:
- Walk away with insightful data analysis skills,
- Be given a bank of engaging activities,
- Learn strategies that you can use immediately in your classroom.
