How to Integrate STEM in your school – A Practical guide to successful STEM learning

This curriculum development course is based on REAL WORLD curriculum
creation that seeks to empower students to have control over and take
ownership of their learning. It teaches you how to develop robust cross
learning area units that centre around a central narrative, linking classes
and subjects. Learn to apply curriculum requirements in an integrated but
streamlined way that does not sacrifice the impact and agency students will
gain from a unit. Learn how to change the focus of student growth to skills and
confidence and let them truly fly.
• Tap into your own creativity to apply relevant and contextualised narrative
themes to your units. From a space colonisation survival scenario to a
local sustainability program, learn that the constraints of curriculum and
textbooks are illusionary.
• Use proven design and collaborative techniques to help you structure a
robust, cross subject area unit that provides ENGAGEMENT and OWNERSHIP
for your students.
• Engage with STEAM learning tools that harness creativity, problem solving,
collaboration and communication skill building in students.
• Gain the confidence to break through the invisible box of curriculum
constraints and take back to your school the practical skills to collaboratively
create viable learning sequences that allow your students to truly fly.
