Real Differentiation in the English Classroom

Real Differentiation in English – Ensuring all students learn. Grade 5 – 10 Hundreds of powerful practical classroom strategies and resources to enable you to determine each student’s learning preferences and structure programs to meet them. How to cater for every intelligence. How to compensate for low literacy and hearing disabilities. How to engage all senses. How to differentiate assessment. How to be inclusive and set up positive intrapersonal interactions.

Ron Thomas is the champion of diversity and applies this to his seminars. He trains teachers across the country in a wide range of activities: Public Speaking, Writing, Drama, Debating and dealing with reluctant and gifted students. He has been Compensatory Education Master, Gifted and Talented Students Coordinator, Curriculum Innovations Manager, Flexible Learning Coach and still teaches Primary and Secondary students across all divisions.

He is a Gold Level Toastmaster, author of a Drama text book, published poet and runs workshops for both VATE and Drama Victoria. Ron also runs many enhancement programs for GATEWAYS.

The most useful PD I’ve done – practical and applicable. Grounded in theory but not ponderously so. Information I can use straight away. Andrew – Belmont Christian School

Ron Thomas was a great presenter. Effective, practical ways of innovative teaching in creative writing and various text types in The English Curriculum. Highly engaging and fun. Stephanie -Rouse Hill Anglican College
