Supporting Diverse Learners: Student Services and Effective Intervention

This session focuses on how the Student Services Department can strengthen student engagement, wellbeing, and learning through effective intervention and monitoring. Participants will explore practical strategies for tracking attendance, identifying students who require additional support, conducting classroom visits to observe behaviour and engagement, and using student interests to increase motivation and participation. The session will also cover skill-building strategies that improve student confidence and align interventions with classroom learning to support positive educational outcomes.

Presented by Critical Agendas

Manaad Safrani

An experienced Educational Leader and Digital Learning Specialist, I am passionate about equipping educators with practical, future-focused strategies that enhance teaching and improve student outcomes. With more than a decade of leadership experience across Australia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates, I have led school improvement initiatives, mentored educators, and delivered engaging professional learning for diverse educational communities.
My workshops focus on the meaningful integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), and digital technologies into everyday classroom practice. Rather than showcasing technology for its own sake, I help educators build confidence in using innovative tools to increase student engagement, strengthen critical thinking, personalise learning, and prepare young
people for a rapidly evolving world.
My training style is practical, interactive, and evidence-informed, ensuring participants leave with ready-to-use strategies, resources, and the confidence to implement change immediately. I believe the most effective professional learning is collaborative, relevant, and centred on improving teaching practice.
Whether working with schools, leadership teams, or educational organisations, my goal is to inspire innovation, empower educators, and create sustainable improvements that positively impact teaching, learning, and student success.

Tina Hobbs – Administration Workshops

I have come away from this session feeling very inspired and so much more positive. I now have many new ideas/techniques/strategies regarding how I can better manage a workload that often feels overwhelming. Some of these can be implemented immediately while others are more long-term plans. Thank you for making this workshop so practical. I just wish that all school admin staff had the opportunity to undertake this course.

“Strategies to Thrive as a Year Level Co-ordinator by Sally Learey”

Sally was insightful and helped me to make clear connections to every day behaviours / emotions that I will need to recognise in my position. It really reiterated why I applied for this position in the first place as I think that often the purpose or the why is forgotten in an attempt to do everything for everyone.
