Teachers Aide – Taking it to the next level

Teacher’s Aides play an integral role in supporting students and Teachers. Teacher Aides need to be extremely adaptable with skills and knowledge across multiple curriculum areas. Many have specialised skills in supporting students with disabilities. As the education system and frameworks evolve, Teacher’s Aides knowledge and skills need to be kept up to date to remain relevant and effective in the classroom. ‘Teacher’s Aide – Taking it to the next level’ covers contemporary practices and an abundance of resources for the professional Teacher’s Aide looking to take their skills and knowledge to the next level.

Leticia will look at –

  • The collaborative role of the Teacher’s Aide
  • Unpacking the ‘Intervention Framework’
  • The differentiated classroom
  • Assessing the ‘Response to Intervention’
  • High Impact Teaching Strategies
  • Adjustments, accommodations and modifications
  • Using Learning Profiles & Personal Learning Plans (IEP, ELP)
  • Linking to NCCD funding model
  • Record keeping & administration tasks made easy
  • Additional training essentials for Teachers Aides
  • Resource guide & links
  • Teacher’s Aide support forum
