Andrew Douch is the recipient of the Microsoft Worldwide Innovative Teacher of the Year, the Victorian Education Excellence Award for Curriculum Innovation, an Australian Government Quality Schooling Award and several other awards each recognising his innovative approaches to teaching and learning. As a professional development provider, he shares ideas, strategies and technologies that helps educators to make their teaching more powerful and fun, and to save time doing it!
Andrew’s workshops focus on simple ways that any teacher can use technology productively in a classroom. He was one of the first teachers to adopt a “flipped” model in his own classes (before that term was even coined), and has a keen interest in tools that help students to be more creative, better learners and better problem-solvers, without creating more work for teachers. Teachers often comment that Andrew’s workshops are down-to-earth and practical, and make it easy to implement great ideas in a real classroom.
