David Vinegrad

David’s teaching career has covered several states in Australia and international experience including Japan, Brazil, Singapore and China. He learnt a great deal when he was a permanent CRT for 3 years in inner Melbourne testing and developing his student management skills. David has taught almost every subject and has taken on leading behaviour management roles initiating several programs that may be regarded by some as being revolutionary. He has co-authored 5 books and training manuals on Restorative Practices and Behaviour Management and believes that ‘you are only as good as your last lesson.’

EXPERTISE

As the Director of Behaviour Matters he is recognised as a world leader in the development of school based Restorative Practices & PBL. David is an expert at change management processes tailoring programs that connect research, policy and practice so schools can maximise student outcomes and whole school relationship management.  He has the ability to ask all educators to think, to examine, and to question; are there better ways of managing students than those we are using at present? David has a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education in Counseling and Adolescent Development. He is a registered NESA provider and maintains his V.I.T registration as committed and passionate teacher.
